About Us
We are a charitable trust whose core purpose is to provide young people with opportunities to learn about themselves and other people away from distractions in our secluded 32 acre woodland site.
As a not for profit organisation, we raise funds to subsidise these learning opportunities through a range of compatible commercial activities including residential stays, adult education, meeting room hire, team building and other training.
Each of the ten Trustees leads a committee that support the leadership and management of the centre. Each has specialist knowledge and was recruited to support our work.
The Trust is governed by its Company Members and is supported by its Patrons and the Supporters of Lodge Hill. The AGM is always well attended.
Our work has been enormously enhanced by the generosity of a number of Donors.
There are 7 full time and 6 part time members of the staff team. They are led by our Chief Executive, Lisa May, and managed by our Operations Manager Paul Catt, and Activities Manger Nick Turner. The staff team are very well qualified, highly experienced, flexible in their approach and generous with their time; nothing is too much trouble!
The catering & housekeeping is carried out by a team of local staff managed by Christian Temple, through a contract with abm catering.
The catering is excellent with meals prepared onsite, using locally sourced produce where possible.
Lodge Hill has been a residential centre since 1946, in its past history it was also a hotel and a family home.
