"There are so many opportunies on new expierences at Lodge Hill" St Mary's Pulborough

SOLH Christmas Pudding Concert

6 Dec 2013

This was a very successful evening, with over 140 people in the Bradbury hall listening to music by the Collyer’s College Big Band lead by Director of Music Dominic Leitner and Director of Big Band, Mike Lavelle,The Gifted & Talented String Academy with Musical Director, Andrew Bernardie and with singers  Conor Paterson, Holly Seward & Callie Swabbrick plus our Special Guest'sChristopher Timothy & June Whitfield who read Christmas stories and poems that delighted & amused everyone.

To hear and watch those talented musicians coming together at Lodge Hill to help raise funds for other less able children and young adults was very moving indeed.

There was an added bonus on the night as Andrew Bernardi brought a Stradivarius violin to play which caused much interest to everyone there. The seasonal refreshments in the interval, were provide by the LH caterers and were delicious mince pies, sausage rolls, and mulled wine.

The evening helped to raise funds for the new multi games area (muga) which will cost £60,000. SOLH have now raised almost £11,000 towards this project.
