Security is paramount. To that end we have CCTV and recently installed keypad door entry system, for the safety of our visitors.
In addition to the school or organisation supervisors who accompany your group, the Lodge Hill staff team are on hand to make your stay as safe, happy and comfortable as possible. An on-site warden is on call every night, and the office staffed between 8am - 5pm.
The school or organisation is responsible for its own First Aid Cover, but in addition most Lodge Hill staff are fully qualified First Aiders.
A mandatory Fire Drill (with a practice evacuation) is carried out for every residential course.Schools or organisations are required
to provide a fire warden for each floor on which you have residents.
The housekeeping and catering staff do their best to ensure a warm welcome, good food and a comfortable house.
There is a public telephone box in the main house, for use by guests, which also receives incoming calls. A range of reasonably priced Lodge Hill souvenirs are also available from pencils to customised 'T' shirts.
For adult courses, Lodge Hill has a licensed bar on the premises offering a wide range of beverages at 'club' prices.
Lodge Hill is ideal for residential courses of a less 'active' type. Its situation and facilities lend the Centre to more contemplative and creative courses, and we have 'regulars' among church organisations, arts and music groups, all of which enjoy the special atmosphere of Lodge Hill.
Generally, residential courses run over weekends or from Monday to Friday, but we can offer flexible packages to suit the needs of our guests. Contact the centre to discuss all your needs, and to ask for details of availability and price for any of our facilities. To do so, click here.
We can accommodate smaller groups occasionally when they share the facilities with similar type groups.
